Podwalk: Holy Houses & the City

Holy Houses & the City takes you on an audio tour through the city centre, passing the four churches of the Cool Zuid neighbourhood.

Significant changes are ahead for this area’s social fabric as thousands of additional homes are being built. This will cause the number of residents to double from 3000 to 6000 in the next few years. What role do these places and their communities play in the neighbourhood, and how will their role change soon? Does the influx of new residents pose a threat, or does it also offer new opportunities?

‘Holy Houses & the City’ tells the story of these four places through the experiences of the people who use, care for and live around these buildings.  The audio tour, composed of interviews and contemplative commentary, will allow you to experience the neighbourhood up close and personal.
